Southeast Portland convenience store robbed Saturday
Police are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of Jonny's convenience store in the Montavilla neighborhood Saturday evening.
The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s or 30s, 6'1" tall, with a slender build, wearing dark-colored clothing, gloves, a mask, and armed with a handgun.
According to police, at 7:51 p.m. on Feb. 27, East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the store, located at 8230 Southeast Harrison Street.
Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees, who said the suspect entered the store, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the store and was last seen walking towards Southeast Division Street.
Officers checked the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.
