Five finalists announced for West Linn city manager
Will interview with council and attend public reception March 31
The city of West Linn has announced five finalists for the position of city manager.
The final candidates, who were selected during a City Council executive session March 16, will now travel to West Linn for interviews with the council and a public reception March 31.
The finalists are:
Bradley has been the chief operating officer for Stutsman County, North Dakota, since 2011. Prior to that, he was the finance director for Houston County, Minnesota, for three years, and he was the accounting manager for the City of Monroe, Wisconsin, from 2006 to 2008. Prior to his career in local government, Bradley served in the US Air Force. He has bachelor of science degrees in management-human resources and management-finance both from Park University in Missouri as well as a master's degree in accounting and financial management from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, Chicago, Illinois, and a master of public administration degree from Pennsylvania State University.
Crawford was most recently deputy county executive for Snohomish County, Washington, where she also served as an executive director before becoming deputy county executive. Prior to that, she was with the Seattle Department of Transportation from 2009 to 2014, where she served as deputy director. Crawford was with the City of Redmond, Washington, from 1987 to 2008, and was chief financial officer for 16 years. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington, and a MBA from Regis University, Denver, Colorado.
Marchant has been the city manager of the city of Coquille, Oregon, since May of 2012. Prior to that he was city administrator for the city of Jerome, Idaho, for over three years. He also served as assistant to the city administrator in the city of Maryland Heights, Missouri, from 2005 to 2008, and he was deputy chief of protocol for the office of the mayor in the city of San Diego, California, for four years. Marchant has a bachelors degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego, and a master of public administration degree from Northern Illinois University.
Seals has been chief financial officer for the city of West Linn since 2008. During his time at West Linn, he has also been finance director for the city of Milwaukie and finance director for the city of Damascus through intergovernmental agreements between the City of West Linn and those cities. Seals was finance director for the City of Lake Oswego, Oregon, from 1999 to 2008. He also has 17 years of experience in the private sector, holding positions that include chief financial officer and controller. He has a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a master of business administration degree, both from California State University East Bay.
Stein has over 25 years of local government experience and she has been city manager for the city of Mt. Angel, Oregon, since 2013. Prior to that, she was city manager for the city of Sisters, Oregon, for 11 years, and she was with the city of Springfield, Oregon, from 1990 to 2002, her last position there being senior management analyst. Stein has also served the city of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and the city of Pasadena, California. She has a bachelor's degree in political science and a master of business and public administration degree, both from the University of California, Irvine.
