Willamette Falls Media Center played host to a conversation about the future of the site where the Blue Heron paper mill declared bankruptcy in 2011.

Raymond Rendleman, news editor for the Clackamas Review/Oregon City News, interviewed three of the major partners in the Willamette Falls Legacy Project on the planning progress.

Participants included Metro Councilor Carlotta Collette, Oregon City Mayor Dan Holladay, Clackamas County Commissioner Tootie Smith and Metro Parks Director Kathleen Brennan-Hunter.

The award to recognize efforts to create great places along the water will be presented Oct. 21 during a ceremony at the Waterfront Center’s annual conference in Washington, D.C.
