Throwing rocks at City Hall lands man in jail
A 45-year-old man tried to fight City Hall and the federal courthouse with rocks early Sunday morning, but he ended up in police custody.
Portland police said Kevin Scott McQueen was arrested during the early morning hours of Jan. 31 and charged with first- and second-degree criminal mischief. He is being held in the Multnomah County Jail.
At about 2:52 a.m. Jan. 31, Central Precinct officers were flagged down by security officers near the federal courthouse on Southwest Third Avenue and Salmon Street, and told that they had taken a man into custody after he was seen throwing rocks at the courthouses windows.
Police discovered that the man also broke out nine windows on the Fourth Avenue side of Portland's City Hall before being detained by security.
