It's time to use those headlights
To the Editor:
I am driving around Portland now three days a week. With all this rainy weather, I cannot see you unless you turn on your headlights.
You blend right into the road when most have their headlights on.
Most of the new cars now have "running lights" that come on soon as the car starts.
Another pet peeve is the person who drives after dusk without lights or just parking lights.
Are you afraid to use your electrical system too much? Someone will pull out in front of you someday because you are invisible in a line of traffic.
Lastly, why do we have so many "Popeyes" (one headlight out) in the fall and winter? I believe the law requires two headlights on your vehicle.
