People can fight cancer by spending a little time, not money
Simply enroll in American Cancer Society's third prevention study
"You have cancer."
These are the words no one wants to hear. Yet we have all been touched by cancer in one way or another.
Just imagine participating in research that may help eliminate cancer and saves lives.
Wouldn't it be worth just a little bit of your time to spare a loved one, family member or friend the pain caused by cancer?
We have an unprecedented opportunity to participate in cancer research this year by enrolling in the American Cancer Society's third Cancer Prevention Study!
Enrollments are taking place in the Portland Metro Area from October 8-12 at the city of Hillsboro Civic Center Complex, Sherwood YMCA, Bridgeport Village, and Wilsonville Fred Meyer Store.
Additional information about the locations and times for enrollment are available at www.cps3portland.org
Individuals between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer and are willing to make a long-term commitment to the study are encouraged to sign up.
Those who enroll will fill out a comprehensive survey packet about their health history, provide a small blood sample collected by trained phlebotomists and provide a waist measurement.
Then participants will periodically be sent a follow-up questionnaire to complete for the next 20 to 30 years.
It's that simple!
Now is the time to step up and fight for all of our loved ones touched by cancer.
Please join me by signing up to participate in the study at www.cps3portland.org or call toll-free 1-888-604-5888.
If you aren't eligible to participate, please make a difference by spreading the word about Cancer Prevention Study-3.
Together, we can make a difference!
