Mini-motorcycle and car tangle on SE Holgate Blvd

by: DAVID F. ASHTON - The motorcycles rider is placed on a gurney and prepared for transport by paramedics riding Woodstocks Fire Engine #25. The rider of a small 50cc motorcycle went down, after colliding with a Hyundai Elantra on Holgate Boulevard, on Sunday, July 7, at about 4 pm.

The wreck took place at the S.E. 26th Avenue intersection.

Witnesses said both vehicles were traveling on 26th Avenue, and both had the green light. The car was facing northbound at the light, and was turning left on to go westbound on Holgate Boulevard when it collided with the southbound motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the car stayed on-scene, and cooperated with the investigation. As of this writing, it has still not been disclosed if a traffic citation was written in connection with this accident.
