by: DAVID F. ASHTON - Along S.E. 13th Avenue east of Marion Street in Sellwood, officers - and a police dog - look for signs of the burglary suspects. The report of a home burglary brought a significant police presence to the Sellwood neighborhood at about 6 pm on Wednesday evening, July 10.

Although official information about the incident has not been released, reports indicated that one or two suspects parked a vehicle at S.E. 15th Avenue and Tacoma Street, and walked into the area where the burglary took place – near S.E. 13th Avenue and Marion Street.

A Portland Police Bureau K9 team joined Central Precinct District Officers in making an area search.

“I think something spooked them,” an officer was overheard saying, suggesting the burglary might have been interrupted in progress, causing the suspects to flee.
