Mt. Scott Stabbing: Domestic violence lands woman in jail

First one, then another AMR Ambulance rolled up to the two-story apartment building across from Mt. Scott Park on the rainy evening of January 30, just after 8 pm.

Portland Police East Precinct officers were in the midst of an investigation of a report of domestic violence at the 5715 S.E. 72nd Avenue apartment house.

A domestic dispute had boiled over, a neighbor who asked to be anonymous told THE BEE. A man had been stabbed with a four-inch paring knife by a woman, who then cut herself.

Officers suggested that the two be transported to different hospitals, just before the ambulances raced off into the night with their patients.
