Connection seeks student columnist for 2012-2013 school year
The Connection is seeking a Wilson High School student columnist for the 2012-2013 school year.
The columnist will write on a monthly basis, submitting a piece by the 15th of each month. He or she is expected to generate original column ideas and adhere to strict deadlines.
The columnist should use his or her writing to provide a window into the high school, offering insight into what is happening in the school as well as student perspective on local and national events.
The position is not paid. The columnist is expected to love writing and have a distinct point of view to express.
To apply for the position, send your name, year in school, address, telephone number and a short biography to The Connection. Also, please submit a sample column of about 550 words on an issue of your choice as well as a list of two other ideas you could foresee writing about in the future.
