One dead in collision with Water Bureau truck on SW Barbur
One person was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision that blocked Southwest Barbur Boulevard near Miles Street.
The persons name has not been released.
A passenger van collided with a Portland Water Bureau truck and went off the road. A witness tried but could not save the victim from the ensuing fire.
Portland firefighters and police responded to the collision at about 2:37 p.m. Nov. 25. One of the vehicles was on fire and the flames spread to a nearby hillside.
Barbur Boulevard is closed in both directions in the area. Southbound drivers should use Capitol Highway and northbound drivers should use Terwilliger Boulevard as alternatives.
