Wilson parent receives national award

COLLINS VIEW — Lewis & Clark Law School professor (and Wilson parent) Daniel Rohlf is the recipient of the $25,000 Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman award.  Daniel Rohlf

The Beckman Award benefits teachers who have inspired their former students to make a difference in their communities. Rohlf is a professor of law and of counsel with the Earthrise Law Center at Lewis & Clark Law School. He specializes in law, science and the environment; wildlife law; and legal ecology. Rohlf received a Bachelor of Science from Colorado College and a juris doctor from Stanford Law School.

Rohlf’s wife is Lori Laws and their daughter is Annie Rohlf, a senior at Wilson.

Rohlf said he was honored to receive the Beckman award. “Being recognized for being a positive influence in the lives and careers of my former students means a great deal to me. I’ve been fortunate to have amazing students over the years, and it is a privilege for me to help them make a difference in their communities,” he said.
