Letter to the Editor, February 2017
I walk to Multnomah Village often for business and pleasure. However, during our winter storms, my walk has not been very pleasurable.
I am surprised at the large number of businesses that make no attempt to remove snow and/or ice from the sidewalks in front of their stores. Not only does this discourage customers, but it must be a liability for the stores.
Today, I found it very ironic that the three businesses that had done a marvelous job making their sidewalks safe for walkers were two cannabis establishments and a wellness center. I'm glad that at least a few business owners are looking out for the health and safety of those attempting to shop locally!
