Columbia River BMX will hold Olympic celebration
Get your bike ready: there will be a BMX racing celebration at McCormick Park in St. Helens on June 23.
BMX TRACK is celebrating Olympic Day - a worldwide commemoration of when Baron Pierre de Coubertin convened the first International Olympic Committee meeting at the Sorbonne in Paris on June 23, 1894, which led to the founding of the modern Olympic Games.
The day is being celebrated around the world.
In Columbia County, BMX TRACK will be hosting a free, all-ages BMX racing event at Columbia River BMX in McCormick Park, 475 South 18th Street, St. Helens, Ore. Registration runs from 9 to 10 a.m. Races will start at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The event is being held in partnership with USA BMX, USA Cycling and the United States Olympic Committee.
