County extends testimony deadline for bus cuts

The Columbia County Board of Commissioners is still taking written testimony about proposed changes to the CC Rider transit service.

At a public hearing Feb. 13, the commissioners delayed their discussion until Feb. 20, but left the record open to receive written testimony. This written testimony must be received by Feb. 19. Any written questions, comments or concerns can be sent by mail to the Board of Commissioners, 230 Strand St., Room 331, St. Helens, OR, 97051, or faxed to 503-397-7243.

The public hearing will be continued to Feb. 20, but no new testimony will be received at that time.

CC Rider is contemplating significant cuts to some bus service routes as well as limiting its popular, but expensive, Dial-A-Ride service.
