St. Helens High play opens this week

Farrell plays George and Hansmann plays Emily in the classic American drama.St. Helens High School Drama is presenting the dramatic play “Our Town” this weekend, beginning with an opening night performance Thursday, April 24.

The play is set in a fictional New Hampshire community and follows a cast of characters through three acts that represent the progression of life, from childhood to death.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, along with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the Olmscheid Auditorium box office 30 minutes before each show.

St. Helens School District employees are entitled to two-for-one pricing on opening night, meaning they can bring a friend or family member for no additional charge.

The show is directed by Ron Barnett and stage-managed by Haley Law.
