St. Helens robotics is gearing up to throw down
The St. Helens High School Robotics and Engineering Club gives a demonstration at a St. Helens School Board meeting Wednesday, Feb. 28, of a robot they designed and programmed to compete in the FIRST Robotics competitions for the 2018 season. The students had just six weeks to design, build and program the robot which must complete a series of tasks like picking up items, tossing them, steering through obstacles and other challenges during head-to-head competitions. The team will take part in its first competition of the season later this month. Team members also held a promotional night at the high school last week, including showcasing their robot.
