Patrecia Clark

Dec. 21, 1945-March 29, 2012

Patrecia Lorene Clark of Scappoose died March 29 at her home. She was 66.

Patrecia Lorene was born Dec. 21, 1945, in Caney, Kan., to John R. and Lucille C. (Cassity) Holeman.

She was educated and graduated in Caney.

She married Dale Clark in Miami, Okla.

In 1967 she moved to Portland for a year, then back to Caney for a year.

In 1969 she moved to Deer Island and to Scappoose in 1998.

She was a member of the Nazarene denomination.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Clark of Scappoose; children, Leslie Clark, Johnny Clark, Dave Clark, and John Holeman; grandchildren, Kellee Keller, Stacia Shaw, Mackenzie, Cobie, Devyn, Corbin and Kerrigan Clark, and Chyenne and Zane Holeman; great-grandchildren, Maddison Shaw, Austin Keller, and Gage Erhardt; and siblings, Dale, David and Danny Holeman.

A funeral service was held April 3 at the Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens.

Private crypt entombment was at Columbia Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Scappoose.

Buddy Jones

Dec. 10, 1932-March 26, 2012

Buddy Buck Jones of Scappoose died March 26 at a care center in Scappoose. He was 79.

Mr. Jones was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Ramona, Okla., to Homer and Ethel (Workman) Jones.

As a young man he moved to Oregon, attending school in Pilot Rock.

He served in the U.S. Army during Korea, and was discharged in 1958.

On July 13, 1959, he married Mary Weaver in Farmington, N.M. They lived in Utah and relocated to Columbia County in the 1960s. She preceded him in death in 2005.

He worked for Alder Creek Lumber, Pope and Talbot and retired from Crown Zellerbach in 1997.

He attended Columbia Christian Church, was a member of the Elks, and enjoyed tinkering with cars.

He is survived by his sons, Ron, Randy, Ricky, Roy and Brian Jones, all of St. Helens; daughter, Brenda Jalo of Portland; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bob and Howard Jones, and Evelyn Porter.

A funeral service was held March 30 at the Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens.

Committal service and vault interment were at Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Scappoose.
