Season over for the Lions

The St. Helens Lions wrapped up a trying season this past week with losses to Parkrose, Sherwood and Aloha.

The Lions fell to Parkrose on and #8200;Monday in a make-up league game, 15-5.

They followed that with losses to Sherwood on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

The team fell 15-4 on and #8200;Tuesday, but just 5-2 on Wednesday with Brennan and #8200;Norton and Tyler Stangland on the mound.

Friday's game marked the last league contest for the Lions. Varsity catcher Tyler Stewart went to the mound for an inning or so. The Lions lost 14-0.

The Lions travelled to Aloha for a non-league encounter on and #8200;Saturday, dropping a 15-4 game.

The Lions struggled with a very young crew this season and failed to make the play-in round which lead to the 5A state playoffs.
