St. Helens beat Rex Putnam at home but loses a close match to Liberty on the road
The St. Helens Lady Lions split two five games matches last week, beating Rex Putnam, but falling to Liberty.
St. Helens came from a game back to take the lead against Putnam, but then gave up a close fourth game, forcing a fifth. The final scores were 25-27, 25-18, 25-17, 26-28, 15-5.
It was another close match at Liberty Thursday.
St. Helens won the first game, 25-23, but then lost the second, 25-18, and the third 25-22. They fought back for a 26-24 win in the third, but then lost by two in the final, 16-14.
The Lady Lions had another big match this week on Tuesday with Sherwood. They host Parkrose Thursday.
