Century proved problematic for the Indians. They won just five matches in the tournament—but were very close in three other matches decided by just a point. The Tribe still had a chance to pull out the win in the late going, but came up short, 36-21.

Against McKay, the Tribe won all but two decisions in the match. However, three of those wins were forfeits. Additionally, the Indians had eight pins in the match, six of them coming in the first round. They coasted to a 69-7 victory.

Several of the Indians were at the St. Helens tournament the next day. Alex Foumal, Hunter Hoyt, Devin Ray, and Brenden Bailey all won their divisions. Jeff VanDomelen was second.

Scappoose was off to Seaside for the Pac Rim Tournament this Friday and Saturday. They host Astoria and Seaside in a double dual match at Scappoose Wednesday, Jan. 16.
