Tribe wrestlers smack North Marion, 49-21
Scappoose wins 10 of 14 matches
The Scappoose Indians had little trouble in posting a 49-21 wrestling win at North Marion over Christmas break.
The Tribe won 10 of the 14 matches, giving up just one (182 pounds) to a forfeit.
The Indians got pins from Kurt Mode (113), Alex Foumal (120), Cody Erhardt (132), Theodore VanDomelen (220), and Branden Bailey (285). Isaiah Goodrich (170) and Braxton Sue (106) had five-point technical falls. Taylor Walden (126), Ben Gadbois (138), and Bailey Apon (195) all won by decision.
The Tribe is at the Pac Rim Tournament in Seaside this Thursday and Friday. They host Astoria and Seaside in a double dual on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.
