Milwaukie doesn't put up much of a battle against St. Helens

The St. Helens girls swim team swept every event, and the boys swept all but two in a rout at Milwaukie last Wednesday.

The girls overwhelmingly dominated the meet. They had first, second, and third in all the relays, save one where they only had two teams. It was the same in the individual events, except for two in which they only had two swimmers. The final score was 136-21.

Milwaukie only had one boy on their team, and he posted first in the 100 butterfly and the 500 free. St. Helens won every other event in an 82-12 win.

Coach Bill Rash shuffled some of his regular line-up to give swimmers a chance in events other than they normally swim and to try some different relay combos.

St. Helens travels to Parkrose on Thursday. They’ll host Sherwood on Thursday, Jan. 31 for their last home meet of the season, and the last meet before district on Feb. 8-9.
