Lady Lions lose to Sherwood at home; Wilsonville on the road
The St. Helens Lady Lions dropped two games last week, falling to Sherwood at home, and Wilsonville on the road.
St. Helens stayed close with Wilsonville in the first half. They were down by just three after one period, and by the same margin at the half, 25-22. The Lady Wildcats parlayed that into a 10-point margin in the third period and separated by 10 more in the fourth.

The Lady Lions hit three consecutive threes, two by Ross and one by Tupper, to take a five-point lead over Sherwood in the first quarter on Tuesday night. Sherwood connected at the buzzer to make it a two-point game.
A scoring draught in the second period and a run by Sherwood left the Lady Lions reeling. St. Helens didnt score until just three minutes left in the period, while Sherwood went on a 19-2 run. Two buckets by Lucy Kyle-Milward pulled St. Helens within 10 by the break.
It was an even match in the second half and St. Helens pulled within seven midway through the fourth. They missed some chances to make it even closer, but finished nine points behind.
St. Helens hosted Milwaukie on Tuesday and this Thursday Rex Putnam comes to visit. They go to Sandy and host Parkrose next week.
