Tribe swimmers miss finals at state meet
Tribe duo miss out on making finals in three events
The Tribes Sadie Krahn and Stefany Alvarez swam in the 4A/3A/2A/1A state swim meet last Friday, but failed to qualify for the finals in their events.
Alvarez finished 12th overall with a 2:20.09 in the 200 freestyle.
Krahn was 12th in both the 50 free and the 100 free. She swam a 26.96 in the 50 and 1:00.24 in the 100.
We really thought wed get Sadie into finals in the 50 so that was unfortunate, Coach David Richmond said. She PRd in the 100 freestyle so that was a positive. Were happy the girls got in to state and got to experience that again this year, especially Sadie in her senior year. She worked hard all season to get back to that meet. Its a special meet not too many kids statewide get to experience.
