Indian matmen trounce Astoria, Seaside

Indians post nearly perfect score against Astoria, thump Seaside
by: John Brewington LITTLE BIG MAN—Scappoose freshman Cody Jackson has compiled a sterling record for the Indians in the 106-pound class this season.

The Scappoose High wrestling team had absolutely no problems downing Astoria and Seaside in a double dual match at Seaside last week.

The Indians picked up eight wins by forfeit against Astoria, and recorded five pins-two of them in less than 30 seconds for a near-perfect 78-3 victory over the Fishermen.

They gave up only a few more points against Seaside, picking up nine forfeits, and recording two pins and major decision in a 64-18 win.

Scappoose goes to Seaside for the Pac Rim tournament this Friday and Saturday.
