Scappoose falls to Tillamook, Banks in Cowapa League play

The Lady Indians' basketball team kept pace for a while against Tillamook last week, but never got things going against Banks in two Cowapa League losses.


The Tribe was tied with Tillamook after the first quarter, but slipped to a six-point deficit by halftime. They only managed two field goals in the second half in a 51-22 loss.

At Banks, the Lady Indians started slowly and quickly fell behind the 13-2 Lady Braves. It was all but over at halftime with Scappoose trailing by 22 points, 33-11.

Abby Kessi led Scappoose in scoring with eight points.

Scappoose will try and pick things up a bit this week with a game at Seaside on Tuesday and a home game with Yamhill-Carlton on Friday.

The YC and #8200;game marks the start of the second half of league play.
