Lions tennis team drubs Milwaukie
St. Helens easily disposes of undermanned team
The St. Helens Lions boys' tennis team picked up an 8-0 win over Milwaukie on Friday in a make-up match originally scheduled 10 days earlier.
Milwaukie was short players for the match and forfeited all the doubles matches.
St. Helens won all four singles matches in straight sets.
The first two doubles teams played exhibition matches, while the No. 3 and No. 4 St. Helens teams played each other.
'The weather was great for tennis, but we could have used 10 more players from Milwaukie to enjoy it more completely,' St. Helens coach Don Courtain said.
The Lions still have make-up matches with Wilsonville and Sherwood to play after spring break. They are slated to host Wilsonville on Monday, April 2 and then Sandy the next day, April 3.
