River Road at Scholls Ferry closed for two weeks
Washington County's Department of Land Use and Transportation has closed a portion of River Road at the Scholls Ferry Road/River Road intersection until June 12.
The temporary closure is necessary for the contractor to reconstruct a portion of River Road in order to connect into the new roundabout being constructed at the intersection.
River Road traffic will be detoured to Farmington Road, Highway 219, and Scholls Ferry Road.
Detour signs will be provided along the designated detour routes. Scholls Ferry Road will remain open to through traffic during the River Road closure, with motorists being routed through the new roundabout. Commuters should expect delays through this area during the closure period.
The Scholls Ferry/River Road intersection project is replacing the existing three-way 'T' intersection with a roundabout.
For more information about this project, contact Project Manager Bill Hunter at 503- 846-7828 or William_hunterco.washington.or.us.
