Legislator offers student intern program

The office of Rep. John Davis announces an program for middle school and high school students in House District 26


The office of The office of Rep. John Davis (R-Wilsonville) announces a program to engage excelling middle school and high school students in House District 26 in the legislative process.

Students selected to participate will have the opportunity for one-day internships in Davis’ office. In addition to assisting the representative in his official duties, interns will be able to tour the State Capitol, sit on the House floor with Davis, attend committee hearings and engage with legislators.by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Rep. “As a middle and high school student, I was fortunate to have numerous caring adults invest countless hours in mentoring and teaching me the value of public service. This internship program is one way I hope to provide similar opportunities to our young adults,” said Davis.

Students must be nominated for the program by a staff or faculty member of their school.

One to two students will be accepted to the program per week.
