Letting city take over 'Y' is 'ill-advised'
When I moved to Sherwood, our water came from Tualatin Valley Water District.
The rates were low. The quality was high. And, if you needed it, customer service was quite good.
Since the city took over the water utility, rates have soared, quality has declined, and customer service is apathetic at best.
Now, some people are suggesting that the city should take over operation of our community recreation center, a.k.a. "The Y." In light of how well the city has done running our water utility, I think that such a change may be ill-advised.
