Sydney Hughes, a junior at Sherwood High School, is participating for her second year in a fundraiser called the 30-Hour Famine. This fundraiser is sponsored by World Vision, and helps feed starving kids around the world. Just $1 can feed a child for a day.

Last year she exceeded her goal of $360 by $220, and this year her goal is to raise $1,000 by Feb. 22.

To achieve this goal, she is selling handmade hair bows for $3 each or two for $5.
