Jesuit girls roll to victory at Class 6A state track and field meet
The 2016 season was just flat-out fun for the Jesuit girls track team.
So much so, in fact, that the Crusaders recreated the most important part of it in 2017, winning their second straight Class 6A state championship on Saturday at Hayward Field in Eugene.
Jesuit wrapped up its second straight title — and its fifth in the past 10 years — by piling up 71 points to beat second-place West Salem's 57 and third-place Grants Pass' 51.
The rest of the state's top 10 teams included: Barlow 47, Sunset 45, Centennial 31.5, Grant 25, South Eugene 23, Southridge 22, and Newberg 21.
