Snuggling up to nature
Metro offers family friendly summer activities
Children can get closer to nature during a summertime series offered by Metro. Kids can touch, smell and study nature in activities with other children led by Metro naturalists and volunteers. Cost is $11 per family. Bring a sack lunch.
The Family Nature Explorers includes:
•Nature games at Oxbow Regional Park, Saturday, June 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
•Stayin' alive: Fire by friction, also at Oxbow, on Saturday, July 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
•Bug bonanza at Graham Oaks Nature Park, Saturday, July 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
•River exploration at Oxbow, Saturday, Aug. 11, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
