Bring the family to paddle mellow river

Paddlers are invited to the 23rd-annual Tualatin River Discovery Day, a family-friendly ride down the Tualatin River, on June 30.

The event is organized by Tualatin Riverkeepers, which rents canoes and kayaks for $30 a boat. People also can bring their own watercraft, but are asked to make reservations first.

Canoers and kayakers will start from the 99W Boat Launch on Hazelbrook Road in Tualatin and paddle to Tualatin Community Park. At the end, there will be a river fair.
