EcoChallenge invites people to change their ways for two weeks in October
Want to take an extra eco-step for the environment?
The Portland-based Northwest Earth Institute is planning its annual EcoChallenge, in which teams make commitments to change their practices for two weeks, in a friendly green competition.
The 2012 EcoChallenge takes place in October, but teams are already organizing to enter the competition. Twenty-three teams have already signed up, ranging from employees of Intel Corp. to SAIF Corp. to Lewis & Clark College. Out-of-state groups also are participating, including folks from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and George Mason University.
