Producers of a documentary about proposed Northwest coal exports raised $65,790 to complete the video in a Kickstarter campaign supported by 280 donors.

The documentary, entitled Momenta, is a collaboration between Plus M Productions, a San Francisco media production company, and Protect our Winters, a snowboarders group. Filming will now take place during two weeks in August, with a release date planned in September.

“We are going to be good shepherds of this funding and use it to tell the stories of the people living along the coal export trail,” says director Andy Miller, We aren't a big crew or a special interest. We're a small team of filmmakers who think everyone would care about this topic if they saw the story on the screen.”
