Gift will aid environmental law programs at U of O
The University of Oregon School of Law will expand its student fellowships in environmental and natural resources law, thanks to a new $1 million donation.
The gift, announced Aug. 1, comes from the Bowerman family, via the Oregon Community Foundation.
The gift also will allow the expansion of interdisciplinary projects by supporting two research association positions; summer stipends for students working with government agencies, nonprofits and Native American tribes; and give more students opportunities to pursue careers in public interest environmental and natural resources law.
