Gateway Green rakes in greenbacks for park design via Indiegogo

Backers of the Gateway Green park project in East Portland have topped their $100,000 fundraising goal to pay for project designs.

With about 10 hours to go, backers solicited $122,255 in pledges via the crowdfunding website Indiegogo.

Donations are being taken until 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7 at www.indiegogo.com/projects/build-gateway-green.

The Friends of Gateway Green hopes to create a world-class off-road bicycling center, plus other park amenities, on the property north of the Gateway transit center, east of Interstate 205.
