The nonprofit Portland Parks Foundation is putting on a two-day event called Parke Diem, billed as the largest volunteer mobilization for Portland parks in the citys history.
More than 1,000 volunteers are expected to help with trail maintenance, garden cleanup and other stewardship activities.
The event kicked off Friday, Oct. 11 and continues Saturday, Oct. 12, with projects at parks all across the city. More than 1,000 volunteers are expected to contribute.
