The Damascus City Council has agreed to put two distinctly different visions for the fledgling citys future growth on the ballot for voters to choose.
Mayor Steve Spinnett says he and Council President Andrew Jackman will form two work groups to prepare rival versions of a proposed comprehensive land use plan. Then both would get forwarded to voters.
My assumption is that one plan will lean more toward protecting the environment and the other weighted more towards private property rights, Spinnett says.
The plans would appear on the ballot in March or May of next year.
