Environmental group hosts brunch benefit for typhoon victims

350 PDX ordinarily works on projects to raise awareness about climate change and stem the catastrophic rise in carbon emissions.

But this weekend the local group has a different agenda: aiding the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The group is sponsoring a brunch on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, 1704 N.E. 43rd Ave. in Portland.

They’re seeking $15 per adult but children are free. All proceeds got to Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres), which is working with disaster victims.
