The annual Go Green conference returns to Portland on Tuesday, Oct. 6, bringing business and government officials together to discuss everything from the wine industry to what Islam teaches about the environment.


Keynote speakers include Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, director of community affairs at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and author of “Green Deen: What Islam Teaches about Protecting the Planet;” Gifford Pinchot III, founder and president emeritus of Pinchot University; and Deborah Kafoury, Multnomah County chair.

Other programs include: a showcase of Oregon wine industry leaders; a chance to drive in an EcoCab Tesla; the EcoChallenge program by Northwest Earth Institute; a panel of Northwest mayors; a panel of small business leaders and other activities.
