Portland tied for the fourth-best energy-efficiency rating among the 51 largest U.S. cities, in the latest scorecard issued by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
Boston topped the rankings, followed by New York, Seattle and Portland, which tied with Los Angeles.
Cities were ranked based on local government operations, community-wide initiatives, building policies, energy and water utilities and transportation.
Portland earned a score of 76.5 out of 100.
Boston scored 84.5.
