PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JOSH KULLA - A plane drops water on fire raging in the Columbia River Gorge. SOLVE, the state's largest convenor of volunteer work for the environment, is working on plans to mobilize volunteers to help the fire-damaged Columbia River Gorge recover.

Though no projects are ready to announce yet, the nonprofit is soliciting names of interested people to be in position to launch future restoration efforts.

If interested, go online and fill out SOLVE's 2017 Fire Recovery Volunteer Interest Form, and the organization will be in touch.

It's available at www.solveoregon.org/2017-fire-recovery-interest-form.
