Boring throws a garden party

The weekly farmers market will add breakfast and lunch and a recording artist

Boring is throwing a garden party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and everyone is invited — especially those interested in unique gifts and the freshest vegetables and flowers.

The Boring Farmers Market will have the sounds of Stan Ruffo’s jazz, blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll music filtering through the trees in Linda and D.W. Owens’ landscaped yard while people sit at tables under the trees and enjoy a late breakfast or lunch, available from Kevin Reedy’s kitchen.

A number of vendors will be on hand to sell berries and other fresh produce, flowers and eggs as well as arts and crafts, photography, soap, jewelry and the decorative art glass creations from Linal Art.

Commemorative apparel celebrating the pairing of the communities of Boring, Oregon, and Dull, Scotland, will be available.

In addition, the Linal Art Stained Glass studio will be open for tours.

The market and the studio are on Highway 212, between the two traffic signals in downtown Boring. Parking is available on Dee Street to the north and Wally Road to the south.

For information, call Linda or D.W. at 503-663-7323.
