Free dinner in a toy exchange

Local residents who want to help the Christmas basket program succeed in its 57th year of operation should consider donating a toy and receiving a free dinner. The Sandy Fire District will collect unwrapped toys worth at least $10 from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Marli's Restaurant at the Mountain View golf course, 27195 S. E. Kelso Road, Boring. In exchange for a toy, a local resident will be served a complete meal at the restaurant, with Sandy firefighters as waiters.

The toys will become gifts in Sandy’s Christmas basket program. Unwrapped gifts also can be donated by bringing them to collection barrels located in Sandy at the Sandy Fire District Main Station, Mt. Hood Athletic Club, Sandy branch of Clackamas County Bank, Prudential Northwest Properties and Sandy branch of Les Schwab Tires.
