Oregon Farm Bureau taps county leader

Oregon Farm Bureau President Barry Bushue, an east Multnomah County berry and nursery stock producer and American Farm Bureau Federation vice president, announced the recent election of Barb Iverson of the Clackamas County Farm Bureau as OFB third vice president.

Iverson was elected to her fifth two-year term as coordinator of OFB’s legislative issue advisory committees. She also assists the OFB president and Board of Directors as requested.

“Farm Bureau benefits greatly from (Iverson’s) leadership, knowledge about farming and dedication to protecting and strengthening Oregon agriculture,” Bushue said.

The OFB House of Delegates elected Iverson at the recent 80th annual meeting in Salem.

Delegates include family farmers and ranchers from many fields of agriculture representing each county Farm Bureau.

Iverson operates the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn.
