Local children who find themselves involved in the court system need an adult’s voice to advocate for their special interests.

Child Advocates is recruiting for volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

The children, through no fault of their own, have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care.

CASA volunteers act as the eyes and ears of the court, gathering information and making suggestions in the best interests of the child.

That advice, impartial and independent, brings common sense into difficult situations.

CASA orientation is held from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 6, April 3 and May 1, at 1001 Molalla Ave., Suite 203, Oregon City.
