Police log

Information for the public safety column comes from public records of the Sandy Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

WARRANTS

5:10 a.m. March 13; David H. Hoffman, 67, transient, was arrested in the 37400 block of Highway 26 on two Multnomah County warrants for disorderly conduct and theft. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $3,234 bail.

9:05 p.m. March 17; Stephen J. Toth Jr., 33, of Portland, was arrested near Proctor Boulevard and Beers Avenue on a Pierce County, Wash, fugitive warrant. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail without bail.

IMPAIRED DRIVING

4:58 p.m. March 15; Stacy L. Sloan, 47, of Sandy, was arrested near Highway 26 and Ten Eyck Road under suspicion of driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Clackamas County Jail, where she was cited and later released.

CITATIONS

3:23 p.m. March 12; Todd J. Hamm, 45, of Sandy, was cited and released near Dubarko Road and Littlepage Avenue, accused of driving as a habitual offender with a suspended driver’s license, no liability insurance and expired vehicle registration. The vehicle was towed.

6 p.m. March 16; Robert J. Woodcock, 55, of Portland, was cited in the 16600 block of 362nd Drive, accused of theft from a business. He was later released from the Sandy Police Station.

9:05 p.m. March 17; Todd J. Hamm, 45, of Sandy, was cited and released near Proctor Boulevard and Beers Avenue, accused of speeding and having no liability insurance. The vehicle was towed.

JUVENILES

11:43 a.m. March 12; a 17-year-old girl was taken into custody at Sandy High School and charged with possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. She was taken to the county juvenile department for corrective action.

4:17 a.m. March 13; a 16-year-old boy from Sandy was taken into custody in the 38200 block of Proctor Boulevard and charged with possession of marijuana. Two of his teenage companions in the same car also were charged similarly. The driver was allowed to go home with his mother. The case and all three juveniles were referred to the county juvenile department for corrective action.

12:45 a.m. March 15; a 15-year-old boy was taken into custody at Sandy High School and charged with possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. He was taken to the county juvenile department for corrective action.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

3:15 p.m. March 12; someone placed graffiti on the door of a business in the 38800 block of Proctor Boulevard. Cost of cleanup was estimated at $20.

10:15 a.m. March 14; overnight, someone broke out the rear window of a vehicle parked near Vista Loop and Highway 26. Estimated cost of replacement is $500.

THEFT

10:08 a.m. March 13; a female student at Sandy High School reported that her wallet had been taken while she was in class. The officer stated he would check surveillance video to try to locate a suspect.
